Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, Darfur
Contract Length: 12 months Salary: £24,737 per annum, plus £150 per month (hardship allowance) Location: Darfur, Sudan

HelpAge International works with, and for, vulnerable older persons to access their rights to independence, participation, care, self-fulfillment and dignity, as stated in the UN Principles for Older People.
The M&E Officer will have the overall responsibility of establishing and maintaining a monitoring and evaluation system serving the OFDA project. This is an exciting opportunity to provide support and/or lead needs assessments, you will provide substantial input into the design of new programs in the region in line with the HelpAge mission. By working closely with the Livelihoods Coordinator you will develop monitoring tools, train program staff on the use of these tools and ensure frequent capturing of program data.
You will have substantial experience designing and implementing practical monitoring and evaluation systems. You will have demonstrated success in designing and implementing complex database systems. The ability to analyse both qualitative and quantitative data is essential for this role. Experience of working in insecure or highly sensitive political environments is essential, along with a flexible and self motivated approach is needed to be successful in this role.
