Regional Office Human Resources Coordinator Jobs in Senegal

This position is on local contract and will work under Senegalese labour law.

The Regional Office of Plan International in West Africa based in Dakar is looking for a dynamic and results oriented person to fill the position of Regional Office Human Resources Coordinator to provide HR services in all needs related to management of local and international staff in the Regional Office and to support the Regional Human Resources Partner in overseeing human resources management and development at the regional level. About the role
Key responsibilities • Provide professional HR services to staff in the regional office (including supporting organisational changes in structure, tasks, and people management processes, maintaining personal files, payroll, organizational charts and job descriptions, salary and benefits review, performance management, training and development, compliance with the Health and Safety as well as the security standards of the Organization) • Ensure adherence to HR policy and practices, consistent with global policy and compliant with local statutory and legislative requirements
• Manage properly the recruitment and selection processes for local hiring as appropriate, according to Plan’s standards and requirements, and facilitate proper clearance and smooth settling-in (induction) of the regional office staff • Conduct annual training needs analysis for staff in the Regional Office as well as sourcing, planning and delivery of training. Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives. Maintains training records for all staff • Support managers and staff in implementing the Plan Employee Appraisal process in the Regional Office. Track progress, and maintain statistical data on results • Provide management with timely information related to staff (monitor completion of fixed-term contracts and probation periods, control legal matters including contracts, legal benefits and obligations, etc.) • Manage the first line generation of HR related reports for Regional HR Partner for review and subsequent adoption • In consultation with the Regional HR Partner, provide support to the interpretation and implementation of global HR policies and procedures • Follow up on implementation of joint actions by the West Africa HR network as per network TOR and charter.

About you
Essential requirements for the post • Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent work experience • Demonstrated experience working in an HR generalist management role and/or high potential in the area. • Good command of spoken and written English and French.

Physical Environment and Demands: Typical office environment. Occasional travels may be required.
