RESPONSIBILITIES: •Guide the development of user-friendly, evidence-based marketing plans for regional condom brands that will lead to rationalized and effective communications and distribution investments;
•Encourage and lead innovative approaches to identify, anticipate, monitor/track and satisfy consumer needs effectively and equitably;
•Manage the disciplined analysis of total market data, brand equity analyses, trade marketing, price comparisons, performance based financing and other marketing activities;
•Approve annual country work plans for South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland and Botswana;
•Manage creative agency and oversee the regional media buying;
•Oversee annual forecasting and quantification;
•Develop sales targets and ensure they remain ambitious and are regularly surpassed;
•Manage regional sales structure including sales strategies and key accounts;
•Develop and monitor cost recovery strategy; and
•Mentor and supervise regional marketing, supply chain and sales teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Relevant post-graduate degree (MBA, MIA, etc.) or equivalent experience;
•Minimum of 10 years private sector private sector management, marketing and/or sales experience – preferably in complex or international markets
•Financial management experience
•Minimum of 7 years of supervisory experience.
•Successful brand management experience.
•Strong understanding of South African business and retail environment.
•Fluency in spoken and written English
