The Bureau for Institutional Reform and Democracy (BiRD) is looking for an excellent senior legal expert for a short-term mission under the Lot 7 FWC in Mozambique.
Lot 7: Programme formulation mission - Rule of Law and Accountability
Starting period: 18/11/2011 Duration: 16 w/d Location: Maputo, Mozambique Deadline for submission of CVs: 06/11/2011
Objective Provide technical advice on the formulation process of the EDF-funded Rule of Law and Accountability programme for Mozambique using as a point of departure the text of the Identification Fiche (equivalent to concept note) and the comments provided to it by the EU Headquarters and the Mozambican partners Institutions.
Senior Expert: Legal expert Required profile: • Degree in Law • Solid knowledge of Public, Administrative and Constitutional Law of Mozambique • At least ten years of training, advisory and consulting experience in Africa • Previous experience with design and implementation of public policies, an advantage if in Mozambique • Experience in design and implementation of constitutional reforms • Experience in developing legal frameworks for Government and public institutions • Highly proficient in Portuguese • Experience in human rights, gender equality and democratic governance an advantage
