DAI, a global development  consulting firm headquartered in Washington, DC, seeks a Deputy Chief of  Party/Senior Technical Advisor for an anticipated international  development program focused on reduction of land-related conflict in  Rwanda. The program aims to support Rwanda’s long-term sustainability by  strengthening the resilience of its citizens, communities, and  institutions and their ability to adapt to land-related economic, social  and environmental changes. The position will be based in Kigali, Rwanda  with occasional travel required.
Qualifications Required: •Rwandan citizens are strongly encouraged to apply •Advanced degree in technical area related to agriculture, geography, land/natural resource management, anthropology, environment or related field required
•Subject matter expertise in land tenure policy and reform; resource rights, governance, and planning; access for women, youth and other vulnerable groups; institutional strengthening or capacity building; conflict resolution and justice strongly preferred •Proven experience leading the design and implementation of program management tasks related to land-related research and/or justice-related activities •Demonstrated experience supervising field staff, leading technical program implementation, and liaising with senior government officials, donors and other key stakeholders •Minimum of 10 years technical implementation and management experience on donor-funded programs •Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
