War Child Holland is an international NGO aiming at providing psychosocial relief to children in (former) war and/or conflict zones. War Child invests in the peaceful future of children affected by war. War Child’s goal is the empowerment of children in war-affected areas, through psychosocial programmes in which creative and sports activities are used to reinforce the psychological and social development and the welfare of the children and to create public awareness of the problems of children in (former) war zones.

FIELD LOCATION MANAGER REPUBLIC OF SOUTHERN SUDAN
Organization: War Child Holland / Job Location: Torit, Easter Equatoria State, Republic of South Sudan/ Starting date: As soon as possible
War Child Holland is working in Southern Sudan and the Sudan. The programme purpose is to ensure that children, youth, communities and government are able to promote awareness of, prevent and respond to children’s rights violations, abuse and exploitation of children and youth in Khartoum, Juba, Yei, Torit and Kosti, states by supporting the development of a protective and educational environment.
The Field Location Manager (FLM) will be responsible for overall management, further development and expansion of field office and program in Torit under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director.
The FLM ensures the realisation of the Torit programme. He or she makes sure that proposals are developed and that programme activities are implemented, monitored and evaluated. Furthermore, the goal is to build capacity of the staff at his/her location and with local partners to ensure sustainability of the programme.
Support is provided from the Country office in Juba where senior administrative and support staff is located.
Torit is the provincial capital of Eastern Equatoria State in the Republic of Southern Sudan. It is a modest size town, without tarred roads, that is home to regional government administrative structures. There are a limited number of local and international NGOs present in Torit, though it generally is an underserved area. Torit is located about two and half hours drive East from the capital Juba. The road network is generally poor.
